After photographing Brittany for the first time in 2012, it took over five and a half years for me to photograph her again, in 2017. Since then we’ve been lucky enough to shoot together two more times in 2018 — once when Brittany was in Toronto (on the beach — scroll down), and once when I was in Halifax (hotel). Brittany’s always got a nice collection of classy stuff to wear, including this lace bodysuit from Victoria’s Secret.
We were blessed with beautiful late-day sunlight streaming through the windows, which I bounced around with a large 5-in-1 reflector to make Brittany look her best, in this revealing purple bodysuit.
I’m a firm believer that alcohol and photo shoots don’t mix, but I make an exception when the alcohol is just a prop. Brittany had a spare bottle of red wine lying around, and since she doesn’t drink red (white only if you’re trying to charm her), we used it in a few photos. Hilariously, the wine looked a little more brown than red, and she had to water it down in the bathroom sink to get a better colour.
Lastly, I busted out the Alien Bees monolight I brought with me, paired with a tight grid, to give the photos a darker and moodier feel. Hotel blackout curtains work well to block all the light.
And there were actually a lot more photos from this shoot that are too hot to show here! Check out Brittany’s photo set in my shop below to see 20 more images of her from our hotel photo shoot — including Brittany draped only with a bedsheet. This photo set also contains all the best images from Brittany’s 2018 beach photo shoot, in a sheer black bikini and wet white bodysuit.
Speaking of the beach, here are the more conservative images we shot very, very early one August morning. As you all know, sunrise is my jam, and Brittany awoke super early so we could hit the beach to see it.
I quite liked this white bodysuit. There may or may not have been a dude watching Brittany from behind the rocks.
