What a super annoying start to the day this was! Against my better judgement, I decided that Alyssa and I would head to Ward’s Beach instead of Hanlan’s Point Beach for our photo shoot. Ward’s, after all, has a reputation for being “the quiet one”. Not so on this day — hordes of people were everywhere, limiting our options for beach photos.
When we ventured a little bit into the woodsy areas to get away from the crowds, we were attacked by flies. After that, heading to the boardwalk proved fruitless as well since it was incredibly windy. Resigned to our fate, we started heading back to the ferry without any photos. That route was down a little wooded path where the light was quite nice. Suddenly the wind had stopped and the bugs vanished. Quick, get out the camera! I snapped a few photos of Alyssa just as the last bits of sun filtered through the trees. Although it didn’t go as we planned, some photos are better than none!
