I like photographing Marietta a lot, partly because I can prove to people that I don’t just photograph naked white girls (she’s half Indonesian and wears clothes… kinda).

Stuck inside since it was too cold to shoot outdoors, Marietta’s first ensemble was a cozy sweater and coffee mug vibe. Daylight provided all the light we needed, and I processed these images with a cooler blue tone. (Marietta may or may not have spilled her tea on the armrest of this chair. Okay, she definitely did.)

In contrast, our next set of images were decidedly warmer, with Marietta’s awesome striped bodysuit from Bavella Boutique (use code MARIETTA20 for 20% off) being the focal point, and the faux fur coat working as a capable accent. I really loved this look. The bodysuit was slightly sheer and high-cut, and it fit Marietta perfectly. With a dab of red on her lips, this look blurs the line between fashion and glamour.

There are a more than a few models I’ve worked with over the years who have somehow improved their looks year after year, defying time. Marietta is more fit than I’ve ever seen her, and somehow gets better looking every time we work together. I marvel at her every time I see her and I don’t know if she’s flattered or embarrassed, but she never turns me away.
