Know what I like? Models who can fill in at the last minute. I messaged Ashton one recent afternoon, to see if she was available that same evening. As luck would have it, she was indeed available and showed up on time. Coincidentally, this was also less than 24 hours after I’d eaten at Chez Ashton in Quebec, my favourite fast food in that province. Clearly the universe wanted my life to be about all things “Ashton” for one solid day.

Ashton is a relatively new addition to the roster of City Models in Halifax, with just a handful of photo shoots under her belt. With a bodysuit from Forever 21 mixed with her own pieces, we put together a quick few photos at the Chateau Bedford in Halifax. As I’d just been driving the entire day, I didn’t want to do anything grandiose or over the top when it came to setting, wardrobe, or lighting. Just something quick and simple would do, and Ashton was great.

Lighting modifiers used here were a 22″ beauty dish and medium stripbox, with a little light flare and light leak effects added in Photoshop.
